It’s like a fever in your heart
It’s like fog inside your brain
You’re stuck inside the doorway’s locked
You’re just too numb to feel the pain

But then you smile and in your eyes I see
I realize I can start to breathe

A drowning feeling deep inside
Icy bonds around my throat
A lock I know I can’t escape
A wooden box its walls so close

But then I hear your voice and wake up from a dream
I understand but it don’t change where I’ve been

Let go the grip around my chest
Try to stumble through my fears
Its not too much to make a leap
When I relax enough to hear

Although the path is straining
Turbulent storms
Your love is there within me
Guiding me on

Its like a fever in my heart
Its like a fog inside my brain
